Dennis Swartzman

After a long battle with many health challenges, Dennis Swartzman, aged 64, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on November 10, 2025.

Devoted husband to Michelle Swartzman. Proud father of three children; Cindy, Celyne and Nikki. Loving Poppa to three grandchildren; Qwynnelle, Raelynn and Nolan. Dear brother to Melinda and Jimmy. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Sheila and his siblings Bobby, Wanda and Ronnie. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives he deeply touched.

Dennis will be remembered for his ability to make anyone feel comfortable and safe. With one quick witted remark, he had a way of drawing everyone in, becoming everyone’s favourite and leaving memories that will last forever. If you knew Dennis, you knew humour could be found in the hardest moments, loyalty wasn’t just a word, but a daily action and he would do anything to protect those close to him. To know Dennis was to love him, and that is how he will always be remembered in our hearts.

His family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for Dennis over the past decade. Your kindness, compassion, and dedication brought comfort and strength to him and our family through many difficult times.

Private cremation has taken place.

A celebration of Dennis’ life will be held at the Cambridge Newfoundland club, 1500 Dunbar Rd, from 1-4 pm, Friday, November 21, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Grand River Hospital Dialysis unit or Lions Camp Dorset in memory of Dennis Swartzman would be appreciated.
