Dianna Koebel (nee Golka)

1948 – 2026

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Dianna Koebel (nee Golka), age 78, at Hospice Waterloo Region on October 17, 2026. Cherished wife of Ronald Koebel for 46 years. Loving mother to Christine Minihan (Brian), Tracy Gerber-Dykes (Joe), Steven Gerber (Shayla), Paul Koebel (Mary), Laurie Anderson (Shawn) and Barbara Taylor (Sheldon). Dear sister of Donna Golka and Wayne Golka.

Dianna will be dearly missed by her ten grandchildren - Nicole (Fran), Kira (Dustin), Haley (Liam), Jacob (Anissa), Courtney (Drew), Megan, Samantha, Brianna, Layla & Charlie and two great-grandchildren, Mia and Ellie.

Predeceased by her parents, Mary Golka (2005) and Sylvester Golka (2006).

To her loved ones, Dianna is remembered as gentle, patient, compassionate, nurturing, brave and deeply rooted in her faith. She was a mom to six children but also so many more than that as she was forever warm, welcoming and accepting to anyone and everyone her kids brought home over the years. Dianna was the heart of the family, and her steadfast presence will be deeply missed by everyone.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Dianna with a donation may contribute to Hospice Waterloo Region, an invaluable local resource that brought the family immense comfort in Dianna's final days.
