Donald James Renshaw
March 9, 1943 – April 23, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of Donald on Thursday April 23, 2026, peacefully and surrounded by family, at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario, in his 84th year.
Donald was predeceased by his second wife, Mary (née Ryan; 2015), and his parents, Frank (1966) and Violet (née Arnold; 1975). He is survived by his first wife, Catherine (née Farrell), his sons Adam (Fabi) and Matthew (Leanne), and his grandchildren, Harrison and Edith.
Growing up in Windsor, Don became a secondary school teacher and taught briefly in Pembroke and Clinton before spending the rest of his career at Seaforth District High School. Don was very proud of the students he taught and the friends he made there over the years. Following his retirement in 1998, Don enjoyed walking his dog Molly, spending time with his family, and taking trips abroad. If you knew him, you would know he was a true sunworshipper and was happiest tanning on the beach or swimming in the ocean.
Cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held. Expressions of remembrance may be made through donations to The Local Community Food Centre in Stratford.
Dad, we miss you terribly. Thank you for being the greatest father (and grandfather) you could be, for teaching us to live in the moment, and to appreciate what is truly important in life. We will never forget you, Dad, and we love you so very much.
Arrangements entrusted to Tri-City Cremation Services.
