Elizabeth Anne Wilson (née O’Keefe)

1946 – 2026 

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Liz Wilson on Saturday January 17, 2026, at the age of 79, just shy of her 80th birthday (February 11th).

Liz is survived by her husband Ron; sons, Ronnie, Brad and Shawn (Kim); sisters, Elaine (Barry) and Patti (Marshall).

Proud and loving Grandma to Cody (Karissa), Tye and Somer.

Liz will be welcomed into heaven by the loving arms of her parents; Eugene and Mary O’Keefe; her sons, Jamie and Joel; her brother Tom and baby sister Mary Helen.

She will be remembered by her sisters-in-law Luann O’Keefe and Lorraine Wilson, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a special group of friends that she cherished.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the 4th Floor caregivers at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener.  You truly do God’s work!

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Liz always had a smile on her face.  Make sure you smile when you think of her!

A Celebration of Life will take place for Elizabeth Wilson on Friday, May 29th.  Mass will be said at 10:00 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (71 Freelton Rd., Freelton), immediately followed by the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (600 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington).

An Open House will be held at the Club House in Atrium Glen (104 Glenarm Close, Freelton).  The doors to the Club House will be open at 11:00 with a luncheon following at 1:00.
