Beverley Anne Welner
1943 - 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce that Beverley entered peacefully into the presence of the Lord, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Cambridge Country Manor, in her 83rd year.
Beloved wife of Michael for 47 years. Loving mother of Natalie Ellens and son-in-law Cameron. Cherished grandmother to Sutton and Lincoln.
Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Lila Critch. Dear sister of Bob (Mary), Betty, Brenda and Barbara. Beloved sister-in-law to John (Ron d. 2012), also aunt to Paul (Soner) and Melissa (Steve) and great-aunt to Lucas and Charlotte. Greatly missed by our furry companion Rufus. Bev will be remembered with love by all her family members and close friends.
Beverley was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and moved with her family to Ontario at an early age. She had a great fondness for baking, gardening, and animals. She also liked to sew using her Singer Machine, which included many home alterations for family members. She enjoyed volunteering at Natalie’s elementary school, and later in life, tutoring at Kumon Math and Reading Centre alongside Natalie. In her younger years, Bev lived in Edmonton briefly and was quite active, doing a bit of skiing, and participated in the 1969 Miles for Millions March. Then in 1973, she walked 27.6 miles in the Toronto Miles for Millions Walkathon.
In keeping with Beverley’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Finally, a grateful THANK YOU to all the staff at Cambridge Country Manor for their kindness, empathy and care for Beverley. God bless you all!
