Fabianna Passani Gomes
1978 – 2026
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Fabianna at WRHN at Midtown, Kitchener on Sunday June 28th, 2026, at the age of 47. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Born and raised in Brasília, Brazil, Fabianna moved to Recife, Brazil at the age of 16, where she lived until 2017. Before university, she spent time living in Brighton, England, to learn English. Upon her return, she pursued her passion for exploration, completing her bachelor’s degree in Tourism.
Travel was truly her calling. Under her meticulous guidance, we shared numerous unforgettable adventures. She had a gift for making every journey special, especially our trips to Disney World in Florida, where she made every visit magical. To be honest, she maintained a very close, personal relationship with Mickey and Minnie Mouse. 😊
Fabianna possessed a remarkably strong, authentic personality and was never one to back down from a good fight. It was this fierce loyalty and honesty that allowed her to forge deep, genuine friendships—the kind where people would do absolutely anything for her. While she didn’t cook or write often, whenever she did, the result was nothing short of outstanding and noticed by everyone.
Though she embraced life's adventures, the Canadian winter was a source of constant complaint. To escape it, she made regular pilgrimages back to the warmth of the Brazilian summer—a beautiful rhythm that kept her connected to her roots.
Above all, taking care of her family was Fabianna’s number one priority. She was a fierce protector and provider of love, willing to do absolutely anything to support her husband and her two children, who were the center of her world.
Fabianna lived life on her own terms—with an open heart, a fierce spirit, and an absolute devotion to those she loved. While our world is dimmer without her, we will honor her by living authentically, protecting one another fiercely, and remembering her whenever the sun shines warmly. She is deeply loved, forever missed, and will never be forgotten
Beloved daughter of Sebastiao Nunes and Regina Celia Passani. Loving wife of Luiz Alves. Cherished mother of Maria Passani and Luiz Alves Neto. Dear sister of Roberto Passani. Goddaughter of Regina Selma Passani and Cousin of Manuella Passani.
Cremation has taken place. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3rd at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 300 Simeon Street in Kitchener.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WRHN Foundation to the Cancer Center as expressions of sympathy. This was Fabianna’s will.
