Jacquelyn Thelma Woolner

1944– 2026

Passed away peacefully at WRHN@Queen’s blvd Monday June 29th  2026 at the age of 81 years.

Jacquelyn, or Jackie as she was known to most, spent over 25 years working part-time at Sears. Once she retired, Jackie and her already retired husband Ross, enjoyed many years of entertaining their grandsons, Adam and Jordan, at their summer place at Pine Lake near Bayfield, Ontario. In addition, Jackie and her husband Ross loved to travel throughout North America with the Great Canadian bus tours, and with the Bradley Walters tours, where they visited Hawaii, and cruised down the coast of Mexico, Costa Rica, and down through the Panama Canal to name a few. Jackie would not let her husband forget that a trip to Myrtle Beach was a must for a month in the late fall every year. As time permitted, Jackie and Ross also enjoyed participating in tennis, and later pickleball, with their senior group of friends. Above all else, Jackie loved and appreciated the intimate family gatherings where we just hung out together and chats, games and laughs were abundant.

Beloved wife and best friend of Ross Woolner. They were married for over 63 years.  Loving mother of Sandra Woolner ( Fiona) and Julie Brown ( Glen).   Cherished grandmother of Adam Brown ( Sarah) and Jordan Brown ( Samantha). Proud great grandmother of Chloe, Hailey, Connor, Aubree and Macy.  Sister of Bill Smith and his wife Marlene.

Predeceased by her parents; William and Ada Smith, by her siblings; Ron Smith, Marlene Fleischmann and her husband Richard.

Cremation has taken place. A small, private family gathering will be held to celebrate Jacquelyn's life.

The family would like to thank the Care Team on the 6th floor at St. Mary's Hospital who surrounded and cared for Jackie during her last few days

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WRHN Foundation or KW Humane Society as expressions of sympathy.
