Gloria Kathleen Taylor

August 8, 1933 – November 24, 2025

It is with deep sadness that the family of Gloria Kathleen Taylor announces her passing on November 24, 2025, peacefully at The Lissard House in Cambridge.

Gloria was predeceased by her parents, Christina and Leslie Longhurst; her husband, Phil Taylor; her brother, Allan Longhurst; and her beloved son, Grant Taylor.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her sister Faye Reuter (Ron); her daughters Karen Alessi (Bruno) and Joanne Lapierre (Rene – deceased); and her grandchildren Chris, Troy, Alysia, Amelia, Brandon, Nathan, Thomas, Jarrett, Carrie, Rebecca, and Jessica. She is also survived by her 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom adored her.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Gloria dedicated 35 years to Scroggins/Savage Shoes, where she was known for her reliability, hard work, and warm, welcoming spirit.

Gloria found joy in life’s simple pleasures—shopping, going out for breakfast, and spending time with her family. Her happiest moments were spent on summer vacations surrounded by those she loved, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Gloria will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The Family would like to Thank The Lissard House For their compassion and care for Gloria and Family. A celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
