Louise Marie Schwartz

April 2, 1937- November 26, 2025 

It is in loving memory yet with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother  Louise. She passed at St Mary’s Hospital in Kitchener surrounded by the love of her family at the age of 88 years of a short illness.

Louise was the 13th child born at home in Tiny Township LaFontaine Ontario. Her family moved to Preston ( Cambridge) when she was 3. When she was older she worked as a receptionist at Hostess until her marriage in 1959. She returned to the working world in the mid 1970s ending as a housekeeper for many wonderful families who treated her with kindness and respect.

If you were anyone in need of help or guidance Louise was one of the first people to help. Louise loved to travel and is proud to have been able to put her feet into both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

Loving mother to Tracy Ann (Kevin) and Mark (Patricia). Loving grandmother to Brandon, Alex, Stepfanie (Cameron), Chantel (Andrew), Adam and Micah Gingrich. Loving great grandmother to Grayson. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Louise was predeceased by her son David and daughter Leslie. Her parents Albert and Josephine Gignac (nee Moreau) and by 10 of her 12 siblings and 9 of their spouses.

We would like to thank all the staff at St Mary’s Hospital for their support and tender care and the maintenance of our mothers dignity at the end of her life. Mother was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in Louise’s name.
