Jill Annette Pearcey (née Morden)
1958 - 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jill Annette Pearcey (née Morden), who left us peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Cambridge, Ontario, at the age of 67.
Born March 22, 1958, in Port Colborne, Jill was the beloved daughter of the late Jeanette and Clinton Morden. She will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Cecil Pearcey, her sons Cody Pearcey and Blake Pearcey (Samantha), and her cherished grandson Emmitt Pearcey, who brought so much joy into her life. Jill was predeceased by sister Lynette and brother Nick, and survived by siblings Jen, Kathy (Bruce), Penny (Dale), Kristine, and sister-in-law Heather. She also leaves behind many adored nieces, nephews, and extended family who will treasure her memory. Her constant companion, her cat Milo, and granddog Charlie, also held a special place in her heart.
Jill dedicated her career to caring for others, working at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and People Care as a PSW at Hilltop, where she built lasting friendships with colleagues and touched the lives of countless patients and families.
For the past nine years, Jill bravely faced cancer with unwavering courage and grace. Through every challenge she remained a source of light and positivity, never letting her illness define her. Even while enduring treatments and setbacks, Jill continued to put others first, offering care, support, and kindness to her family, friends, and those around her. Her resilience was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her bright spirit and the joy she brought into every room.
Jill had a love for singing (especially to Celine Dion), dancing, and living life with positivity. She grew up by the water, where she spent summers swimming and water skiing, and carried that love with her throughout her life. Jill also had a well-known passion for shopping, mostly for shoes, and had a deep love for animals, especially cats. Above all, Jill’s greatest joy was her family. Her kindness, warmth, and love will be carried forward in their hearts forever.
A celebration of Jill’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, between 1-4 p.m. at 20 Butler Avenue, Cambridge, ON. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share memories.
