Joseph Micallef

August 4th 1956 -December 27th 2025. 

With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of Joseph John Micallef, known affectionately as “Papa Joe”.  Joe passed away peacefully on December 27th 2025 at age 69, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in the presence of family.   

Joe is survived by his two children Kristen (Bryce) Elliott and Joe (Roberta) Micallef, and his grandchildren Courtney, Jasper, Joe, and Teddy.  He is also survived by his siblings Steve & Carmen, his loving aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and his children's mother Kathy Marion. 

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Carmela, his nephew Zachary, and his sister Dorothy Cashley. 

Joe was born in Toronto, where he grew up. He lived and raised his family in Cambridge, where he enjoyed coaching youth football and hockey, and making music with family and friends.    

Joe always had kindness to share with everyone he met, and made friends everywhere he went.   He always had time to listen when someone needed to be heard.   

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
