Linda Anne Rose (Quaiser)
January 1954 – October 2025
It is with love and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Anne Rose. Linda peacefully departed this world on October 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones in her 71st year.
Linda will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Bruce Proctor, and her son Peter(Angela). She also leaves behind her cherished bonus children, Matthew and Natalie (Kevin). Linda was a proud Grandmama to Pearson, Eleanor, and Beatrice, whose lives she touched with warmth and love. Also mourning her loss is her sister and close friend, Barbara, with whom she shared a special bond. Linda is further survived by her brothers, John and Mike (Shannon). She was predeceased by her loving parents, Harry and Agnes Quaiser, and her beloved daughter, Sarah.
Linda was born in Kitchener, Ontario in 1954. Her early years were spend moving from city to city with stops in California and Ottawa. She eventually returned to the KW area to be close to family. In 1986 Linda and Bruce’s immediate and undeniable connection brought them together. Linda and Bruce (finally) married in a backyard wedding ceremony, surrounded by family and friends in 1994.
Linda was a self-taught seamstress, known for her extraordinary attention to detail. She took great pleasure in crafting clothing not only for herself but also for the many children within her extended family. Each newborn was welcomed into the family with a unique, handmade quilt, lovingly created by Linda—a testament to her remarkable creativity and skill. Her impeccable taste in fashion, often expressed through garments she made herself, gave Linda a natural air of elegance and refinement which complimented her infectious smile that could light any room.
Linda was also a gourmet cook who truly loved food and the connections it fostered among family and friends. Together with Bruce, they hosted numerous dinner parties that highlighted her culinary expertise and her passion for bringing people together around the table.
She and Bruce traveled many countries throughout Europe, as well as spent winters in Florida. As the Ginger Rodgers to his Fred Astaire, Linda and Bruce were also spirited ballroom dancers.
At home, Linda’s talent for interior design was well utilized. Her artistic vision also extended to the garden, where she cultivated a landscape that beautifully reflected her sense of class, culture, and elegance.
Linda worked as an administrator throughout her career at the University of Waterloo, Stone Road Dental Office and retiring from Union Gas/Enbridge in 2017.
