Louis Richard Drago

October 22, 1953 – August 9, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rick Drago, after a brief battle with cancer.

Rick was predeceased by his parents Louis and Helen, his beloved daughter Allison, and his brother-in-law George Hind. He is survived by his sons, Nathan (Amanda) and Matthew (Celine). He was a proud grandfather to Lucas, Cameron, and Avery.

He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings and extended family: Anne Hind (George), Cathy Weiss, Jim Drago (Sheree), Lou Drago (Joanne), and David Drago (Mary Jo). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was a lifelong resident of Waterloo, where he grew up playing hockey and baseball. He was a devout sports fan, especially the Detroit teams. A die-hard Tigers, Lions and Red Wings fan.

Rick spent his career in the men’s clothing business, where he was a respected and familiar face at Paul Puncher’s Menswear. His dedication to style, service, and personal relationships made him a trusted advisor to generations of clients and a valued member of the local business community.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Tanya and the staff at Hospitality House for their compassionate care.

At Rick’s request, cremation has taken place. In honour of him, donations can be made to the Working Centre.
