Mary Ann Lang
1940-2025
After a lifetime of heading up and running every show she felt was worth running, Mary Ann passed away after complications from lymphoma on November 19th.
Known at various times as “Ann”, “Mary Ann”, and “Annie” - from her earliest years she was a lady leader in a world that would only consider being led by men. Graduating from Pharmacy at University of Toronto in 1964, she moved to London England to work and tour all of Europe with friends and ski.
Although Ann’s family was always the priority, she became Commodore of The Power and Sail Squadron and held board positions with the church and Eastern Star, as well as engaging in a wealth of interests including doll crafting, art collecting, wine and cuisine. She also spent nearly every summer in Grand Bend at the family cottage, having taken over the final remaining mini-golf course from her golf business maven father, John Henry Lauman.
Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her husband Dennis, married for 58 years, son Sean, and daughter Tiffany. Of course, there was nothing more important to her than her three grandchildren Emily, Calvin and Dustin.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service on Saturday December 20th, 2025, at 2pm at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 317 Franklin St. N. Kitchener. Reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke’s Church as expressions of sympathy (e-trans to stlukeslutheran317@gmail.com)
