Merna Catherine La Flamme

January 10, 1929 - February 4, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Merna at WRHN @ Queen’s Blvd. Merna celebrated her 97th birthday last month.

 Merna was born and raised in Waterloo, the youngest of seven children.

Predeceased by her parents Edward and Dorothea Siebel and her siblings.

Predeceased by her son, John Edward (2023) and her daughter Cathy Ann McIntyre (2022) (Kevin).

She will be missed by her spouse of over 50 years, John Muldoon; who had cared for her these last few years.

Loving mother of Colette and Reini Schuster, Nance, Dan and Kelly

La Flamme and daughter-in-law Heather La Flamme (John E.).

Cherished grandmother of Giselle (Tim), Jennifer, Melissa, Jacqueline, Julie (Chris), Spencer (Iryna).

Great Grandmother of Amber, Daisy and Hope.

Fondly remembered by her niece and travelling companion, Dorothea Parker and her children. They had such happy times together.

Thank you to those who visited Merna in the hospital.

She will be missed by many extended family, nieces, nephews, in-laws Beechwood Manor friends, former neighbours.

We may not have mentioned everyone’s name, but we are thinking of all of you.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A private gathering will be held, and we will let one and all know the date and time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity as expressions of sympathy.
