Passed away peacefully in Kitchener at the age of 96 years.

Owen was born in Perth County where he grew up on a farm with his parents Walter and Helen Ney and his younger brother Rae. Owen attended high school in St. Marys before starting his first job with the Bank of Toronto. He worked briefly in Toronto and Wallaceburg before settling in Chatham where he worked for Union Gas until his retirement in 1991.

Beloved husband of the late Edna who predeceased him in 2017. During their 65-year marriage, Owen and Edna enjoyed camping, dancing and playing cards with friends. The couple eventually moved back to their hometown of St. Marys to be closer to family and friends. Owen loved big band music. He was a tinkerer and will be remembered for his meticulously maintained cars and trailers.
