Patricia (Pat) Irene Duncan-Morton
April 19, 2025, marked the peaceful passing of Patricia (Pat) Irene Duncan-Morton at Lisaard House in Cambridge, surrounded by the love of her family.
Pat was the kind of person who made the ordinary extraordinary. A lifelong resident of Cambridge and a skilled legal assistant, entertainer, negotiator and real estate investor. She had a heart full of kindness and a home full of warmth. Whether through a welcoming meal or a shared laugh, Pat had a way of making family feel loved and people feeling like they belonged.
In 1982, she met her husband, John. Together, they set sail—literally—buying a boat in England in 1989 and spending over a decade exploring the waters of Europe and the Mediterranean before returning home to Cambridge.
Pat was predeceased by her parents (Irene and Gervase Wood), her husband John (2019), stepson ‘Sandy’ (2015) and her brother Gerry Wood. Her brother Carl passed away only days after Pat.
She leaves behind a loving family including her children Alison (Chris), Jon (Julie), and Leslie (Roy); and stepchildren Gary (Fiona) of Glasgow, and Iain (Shawn). Grandchildren Dani (Melanie) and Jack Leiper, along with step-grandchildren Ryan, David, Ashleigh, Christopher, Katrina, Vienna, Calum, Ciara, and Cian, who will remember her fondly as Grandma Pat.
The members of Pat's family would like to express a sincere thank you to the exceptional staff and volunteers at Lisaard House whose compassion and care were a comfort to all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the IV Loft at Four Fathers Brewing Co, 125 Guelph Ave, Cambridge, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Casual attire is welcome.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lisaard House or the Humane Society are appreciated.
