Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Krall

1954-2025

Ronald “Ron” Kenneth Krall, aged 70, passed away peacefully at ‘WRHN at Queen’s Blvd’ (formerly St. Mary’s General Hospital) in Kitchener on Friday April 25, 2025 surrounded by his family.

Ron is survived by his two sons: Matthew Krall and Wesley St. Martin (his wife Michelle Martin), his partner Fran McKearnen (nee Fornal) and his ex-wife Cathy Houde, with whom he divorced in 2002 but remained close friends and his four grandchildren: Kayla, Keith & Cutter St.Martin and Alex Patrois.

Ron is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Gord (Bonnie), Barb (Larry), Donnie (Sandy), Marlene, Lloyd, Shirley, Wayne, Bert & Jim (Lori) and three half brothers: Larry, Harold (Barbara) & Vernon Cowan and his many, many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Rudolph “Rudy” and Ruth Krall (nee McDowell) and by his brother Floyd Krall (1959-1976).

Ron was born on December 13, 1954 in Kitchener, ON and spent some time in travelling out west in his younger days. He eventually returned to Kitchener, settled down and married Cathy in 1981 with whom they had raised two sons. He will be remembered mostly for his work in auto body repair and paint, which he enjoyed. Ron was an avid Trekkie who also enjoyed country music and playing the guitar and listening to his radio.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date or a private family gathering will be held.
