Terrence “Terry” Dale Kennedy

February 1947 - February 12, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Terry at PeopleCare at A.R. Goudie LTC on Thursday February 12th, 2026 at the age of 79.

Terry Was born in Guelph but spent most of his life in Kitchener. Terry worked at land surveying until becoming a Gas & Water dispatcher for the City of Kitchener. He retired with over 30 years of service.

A member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 50. He enjoyed playing darts for Barney’s Magic, playing cards and Yahtzee was a family favourite.

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary-Ellen Kennedy (2007), his brother Doug Kennedy (2019), sister-in-law Peggy Kennedy (2024), parents; Clarence (1991) and Pearl (1989).

Terry will be sorely missed by daughters; Cherie May and husband Doug, Delanne Kuehl and Kelli-Lynn Kennedy, by sister in law’s Annette Kuehl and Myrna Kuehl.

Terry leaves behind his niece Heather Kennedy and nephews; Richard Kuehl, Bryan Kuehl and great nephew Kyle Pickering.

Cherished Poppa to Cora Quangvan and husband Jakeb Quangvan, Cylie Kuehl, Cassi Kuehl, Claire May, Cloe Kuehl and by his only great granddaughter, Violet Quangvan.

Terry is survived by his loving partner of 10 years, Joan Capling.

Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society and the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind CGDB as expressions of sympathy.
