Wayne Michael Robinson

October 1966 – April 30, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne Michael Robinson, who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 58.

Wayne was born in Guelph, Ontario, to Ron Robinson and Patricia Emeny, and later made his home in Waterloo. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife of 20 years, Kristen Robinson (Wismer), and was a devoted father to their son, Spencer Robinson. He will also be deeply missed by his loyal dog and sidekick, Blu.

Wayne and Kristen were together for 26 years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and quiet moments of joy. Though naturally introverted and soft-spoken, Wayne had a warmth and sincerity that made anyone who knew him love him. He was kind, fiercely loyal, intelligent, humble, and quietly hilarious. To his family, he was a steady and loving presence, someone you could always count on.

As a father, Wayne was deeply motivated to bring out the best in his son. He was caring, patient, and always present. He and Spencer shared a strong bond, built through their mutual love of politics, history, video games, and all the stubborn projects that came up with his Toyota truck. Their time together created cherished memories that will live on forever.

Wayne’s sense of humour was quirky and delightfully mischievous. Whether delivering playful electric shocks with his “old man shoes” or sneaking in a hug after eating awful garlic peanuts, always with that proud little smirk, he never missed an opportunity to make his family laugh.

He found peace and joy in nature, especially during trips to Muskoka and Algonquin Park. Fall was his favourite season, a time when he’d be bundled up by the water, smiling contentedly. He also had a love for biking, electric scooters, and tinkering with anything mechanical, always curious, always learning.

Wayne’s passion for engineering started young. Fascinated by how things worked, he was constantly taking things apart and putting them back together. He went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University and built a career he was incredibly proud of. For the past 15 years, he worked with dedication and innovation at Christie Digital, where he was respected not only for his technical brilliance but for his willingness to mentor others and his unique, insightful approach to problem-solving.

Wayne was also a quiet force of good. A proud organ donor, he believed deeply in the importance of not wasting anything. In keeping with that belief, his final act of generosity gave the gift of life to others, including a second chance at breathing, living, and thriving through donating his lungs, kidneys, and other vital organs. We are so proud of the selflessness he showed until the very end.

Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff of Hamilton General Hospital, especially the Neuro ICU team. Your compassion, care, and respect made an unbearable time gentler, and we will be forever grateful for the way you cared for Wayne and supported our family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mark Preece Family House , an organization that offered us comfort and closeness to Wayne during his final days. The love and support we received there was a true gift.

Cremation has taken place. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Messages and condolences may be shared at www.tricitycremations.com or by calling 519-772-1237.
