William Henry Martin

1934 – 2026

Passed away peacefully in Kitchener on Wednesday April 29th, the age of 92.

Born in Windsor Ontario, William lived in various cities across Ontario and spent a few years in Whitehorse Yukon Territories, until finally settling in Kitchener.   William worked as an Accountant in various positions with the Ministry of Health in Ottawa until he retired.  William was a goalie in Junior A hockey in his youth and a life-long sports fan.  His favorite activity was watching hockey and baseball while coaching from the sofa. 

Beloved husband and best friend of Julia Martin (nee Chuby). They would have celebrated 71 years of marriage on May 14.

Loving father of Nancy Bourgeois (Rick Bourgeois) and Jodi Eyles.

Cherished grandfather of Stacey Smith (nee Bourgeois) and Eric Bourgeois.

Great grandfather of Hayden and Kaidance.

Dear brother of Donald Martin and Robert Martin.

Predeceased by his parents; Frank and Eva Martin (nee Bensette).

At Williams request, there will be no funeral or memorial service and cremation will take place.   A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society as expressions of sympathy.
