Dave retired in May 2007 after 15 years of dedicated service to the Waterloo Regional Police Services. Dave also sang in the Waterloo Reginal Police Male Chorus for many years. And his very powerful Bass voice is one thing many people will always remember about him In his younger years he was actively involved in the Drum Corps (K-W Flying Dutchmen) and was always the first to be involved in gathering friends and family together for parties and events along his active life. He also spent many years camping at the Waterloo Regional Police Association (WRPA) Recreation Centre, creating countless memories with his camping friends.
Dave had a passion for life, and wherever there was good company, laughter and a cold beer… he was sure to be found. He was known for his quick wit, sense of humour and unique ability to make people smile. His stories, jokes and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.
