George Fefekos

1946 - 2026

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of George on Sunday August 23, 2026 at WRHN@Queen’s blvd formerly St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 80 years.

Born in Mantoudi Greece, George immigrated to Canada in 1969, spending time in the Owen Sound area before moving to Kitchener where he started a family and was a successful hair salon owner for decades.

Making friends with everyone he met, George was a kind and very generous man who loved soccer almost as much as he loved his best friend and wife Teresa (nee Schaffer). They were married for 51 years.

George was a loving father to Thespina (Dale), a wonderful brother, brother in-law, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the WRHN Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
