Harland William Raby

1957- 2026

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Harland at Spruce Lodge Stratford on Wednesday January 7th, 2026, at the age of 68 years.

Harland was born in Waterloo, he moved to Drayton at a young age and then moved back to the Kitchener-Waterloo area. He graduated from Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate Institute & Vocational School where he played football. He was a plumber by trade, he worked for County Mechanical and Kittel Mechanical.  Harland liked football, baseball and cycling, and canoeing and camping in lakes and the Grand River.

Predeceased by his parents; Ivine and Reta (nee Ernst) Raby and by one brother Butch.  

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter; Tanya McGoey and by his grandchildren; Amellia and Lochlann.

Dear brother of Glenn Raby and Lynn Fletcher and predeceased by his sister-in-law Eileen Raby and by his brother- in-law Ketih Fletcher.

He will be sadly missed by extended family, friends and neighbours.

Cremation has taken place. A private family gathering will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society as expressions of sympathy.
