Janet Edith Campbell
1949 – 2026
It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden passing of Janet on Tuesday April 14, 2026 at the age of 76.
She was the embodiment of a caring mother, renowned for her unwavering devotion to her family and her endless kindness. She will be remembered for living her life by, and often quoting the golden rule: treat others as you wish to be treated. She surrounded us with unconditional love and always placed others before herself, truly embracing the role of caregiver. Her remarkable generosity and love have created a legacy that will continue through all that she touched.
Cherished mama bear and best friend to Jennifer Spurgeon, diehard Habs cheering mate and second mom to her late son-in-law Todd.
Beloved grandmother to Jessica, her precious baby girl. Kindred spirits, they loved spending time together and going on (sometimes unpredictable) road trips – but they were never lost, they were always “on an adventure”.
Predeceased by her parents; Robert and Doris, husband Wayne, sister Rose Ann, brother-in-law Brian and niece Tammy.
Loving aunt to Sean, Amy Lynn (Michael) and Edward. Sister-in-law to Albert, Larry (Maggie) and Debi (Jack).
Chosen sister, aunt, mom and extended family member to so many, the world was truly a better place with her in it. We will miss her deeply, but her spirit shines on in our hearts, and in the trail of memories that she left for us.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Preston Legion (Branch 126), 334 Westminster Dr. N. Cambridge on Saturday May 16 from 1:00 to 4:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your local Humane Society or the Huntington Society of Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
