John Ellis Tindale

1947 - 2026

Suddenly and unexpectedly, John passed away on June 9, 2026 at home on Berford Lake, South Bruce Peninsula.

John was born in Cumbria England in 1947 and at a young age his family emigrated to London, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from Huron College, at the University of Western Ontario and went on to enjoy a successful career in the insurance business. John and his wife (Carolyn, 2021) lived in London, Drumbo and finally Waterloo, Ontario. They travelled extensively, spoiled their canine companions and spent time with their nieces and nephews. Among John’s interests, his love of cars stood out. It was a lifelong pursuit that filled him with pride, adventure and countless memorable moments.

John was predeceased by his wife Carolyn (nee Dust, 2021), his parents Kathleen (1997) and Geoffrey Tindale (2011).

He is survived by his sister Judith Tindale Finn (Lawrence} of Kitchener. He is also survived by Carolyn’s brother Gerry (Lise) Dust of Ottawa, her sisters Joyce Dust of London and Jacqueline Kenny (Norm) of London and their families.

Cremation has taken place.

A small graveside gathering will be held.  Details will be shared with close family and friends.
