Julia Nancy Martin

1933 – 2026

Passed away peacefully in Kitchener on Tuesday June 9th, 2026  the age of 92.

Born in Windsor Ontario, Julia lived in various cities across Ontario and spent a few years in Whitehorse Yukon Territories, until finally settling in Kitchener.   Julia worked in a wide range of jobs and industries, including as an Administrator with Public Works, a General Manager for her own stained glass lighting company, and as an editor at Love Printing until she retired.    An award-winning artist, published author, and general crafting enthusiast, Julia’s creativity and imagination was her gift to the world.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late William Henry Martin who predeceased her on April 29, 2026. They would have celebrated 71 years of marriage on May 14.

Loving mother of Nancy Bourgeois (Rick Bourgeois) and Jodi Eyles. Cherished grandmother of Stacey Smith (nee Bourgeois) and Eric Bourgeois. Great grandmother of Hayden and Kaidance.

Dear sister of John Stephen Chuby and William Chuby.

And sister-in-law of Donald Martin and Robert Martin.

Predeceased by her parents; Alexander and Mary Chuby (nee Pukai)

At Julia’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service and cremation will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society as expressions of sympathy.
