John Warrick Vokey

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on Tuesday, December 16 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 66th year.

Beloved spouse and best friend of Brenda Louise Vokey (nee Mead) for 42 years.

Cherished father of Michelle LeCain and Gerald Vokey.

Proud grandfather of Brodie LeCain, Carey LeCain (Carter), Colby LeCain, Brooke Vokey (Rashad) and Ava Vokey (Logan).

Survived by his siblings Clayton Vokey (Donna), Lorne Vokey (Connie), Wade Vokey (Lorna), Lorraine Porter (Gary), Sandra Connolly (Mike), Donna Tarrington (Jim), Carol Monteiro (Jorge) and Colin Vokey (Pauline).

Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his great nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Myra Vokey and his sisters Brenda Vokey and Cathy Woodford.

John was employed with A. G. Simpson Ltd. for 35 years.

Special thanks to Carol Monteiro and Colin Vokey for all of their help and support during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital emergency and ICU departments for their care and compassion. They truly are earth angels.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Lung Health Foundation be appreciated by the family.
