Lorraine Ida Rose-Ann Springer

1965 - 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Ida Rose-Ann Springer (Guay), who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 60. 

Born on October 30th, 1965, in Kitchener, Ontario. Throughout her life, Lorraine was known for kindness, sense of humour and beautiful smile. She touched the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

For 25 years, Lorraine devoted her career as a PSW with Dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. Through gentle hands, a warm smile, and endless patience, she brought comfort to countless residents and peace of mind to their families. To many, she was far more than a caregiver; she was a source of reassurance, friendship, and love during some of life's most difficult moments.

Lorraine is lovingly remembered by her parents, Wilfred and Judith Guay; her children, Candice (Emelio) McIntosh, Cassidy, and Brandon; her grandson, Dylan Beauregard; her siblings, Gwen and her children, Megan Bernier and Courtney (Greg) Sherier; Lois (Miles) and their son, Jamie Wilson; Randall (Nancy) Guay and their children; Gary (Erin) Guay and their daughter, Kaia; Lisa Palubeski; her cousin, Donna and Mike Lockyer; her lifelong friend, John Engel; and many beloved family members, friends, and former colleagues.

The burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo on July 25, 2026, at 10:00am, followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada if desired.

Though deeply missed, Lorraine’s love, compassion, and legacy will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
