Lucy Thereasa Barclay (née Andrews)

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on June 19th 2026 at Lisaard house in Cambridge, Ontario.

Lucy was the beloved wife and best friend of Tilford Barclay, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. Cherished and devoted mother of Vikkie Barclay, she was a constant source of love, strength, and support.

She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Marilyn Campbell and Patricia Benjamin. Aunt of Clarence, Tiffany, Michael and Michelle. Fondly remembered by extended family and many friends Pearletta, Sara, Suki, Janice and Varene Lucy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Marie Andrews.

Lucy dedicated many years of service working at St. Luke’s Place, where she was known for her caring nature, kindness, and willingness to help others. Family meant everything to her, and some of her happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved. She enjoyed cooking, travelling , sharing meals, listening to music, gardening, watching her favourite television programs, and creating lasting memories with family and friends. Her warmth, sense of humour, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Lucy will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her compassionate heart, and the joy she brought to others. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
