Patricia Gascon

March 23, 1934 – October 8, 2025

With an abundance of love we honour our mother, Patricia Gascon.

Pre-deceased by her husband Rene (2024), she is survived by five children:  Bryan (Lynn), Sharon Beard (Murray), Jerry (Pam), Barry (Jo-Ann) and Karen Gill (Gary), and one sister Deborah Pilon.

She also leaves ten grandchildren: Allison, Katelyn, Nicholas, Philip, Luke, Geoffrey, Nicole, Angela, Krista and Quinn, and twelve great-grandchildren: Ty, Cohen, Ella, Jacob, Brooklyn, James, Laine, Noah, Eleanor, Logan, Avery and Rory.

Pat was truly the foundation of our family – the logic in the chaos, the maker of sense and sandwiches and the keeper of more love (and opinions) than seemed possible for one person.

Her early career as an RN at Sudbury General Hospital was dedicated to helping those in need with equal parts compassion, competence and no-nonsense practicality. Her caring spirit extended beyond the hospital walls into her home and to every person who was fortunate to know her.

Later, working alongside her husband, they built a beautiful life in Sturgeon Falls, then Kitchener, where she balanced the demanding roles of working mother and homemaker with style and strength.

Pat will be remembered for her kind heart, quick wit, frank opinions, medical advice and her love for RVing and travelling – the glue that held us all together and the light that led us forward.

Pat’s life was a testament to her love for family and for the simple joys of music, laughter, crown royal, hamburgers, chocolate and a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner with everyone gathered.

She is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before her.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel Church, 29 Midland Dr, Kitchener Ont, Saturday Oct 18, 2025, at 10am, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Messages and condolences for the family can be left in the comment box below.
