Robert B. Botelho

1959 - 2025 

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Robert on Monday December 29th, 2025 at the age of 66 years.  

Robert was born in Lagoa, Sao Miguel, Acores in Portugal. He immigrated to Canada at the age of nine with his parents and siblings. He immediately fell in love with all things Canadian including hockey and Tim Hortons. He loved the Cambridge Hornets, Boston Bruins, and of course the Maple Leafs! Robert was a simple and understated person. He did however, embrace an amazing sense of humour with quick comebacks and wit. He had tremendous loyalty towards his family and he carried this with him towards the very end.  

Beloved son of Floriano Botelho and Maria Carmo Botelho. 

Loving brother of Mary Greulich ( Darren), Peter (Sheila),Guilherme, Valerie (Ness), Rodney (Lisa), and Nancy (Kwame). 

Dear uncle of David, Andrew, Deedre, Maksim, Dante, Anton, Nathaniel, and Grayson. 

Predeceased by His father Floriano Botelho and his brother Guilherme Botelho. 

He will be sadly missed by his extended family including aunts, uncles, and many cousins. 

Cremation has taken place. A private family funeral mass will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cambridge Food Bank as expressions of sympathy.
