Robert Warren Ainsworth

1947-2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Warren Ainsworth in his 78th year on August 28, 2025 after courageously battling multiple myeloma and diabetic kidney disease over the last decade.

Husband to Madeleine (nee Rutick), father of Kelsey and Lindsay, and grand-father “Pop-Pop” of Elizabeth - the apple of his eye.

Rob was a lover of sports from an early age playing hockey, and lacrosse. Rob was an excellent golfer and fisherman. Rob was a life-long Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. When his career brought him to the southern US, Rob played an abundance of PGA golf courses and had the opportunity to attend many NASCAR races and PGA events.

As an Industrial Engineering Consultant, Rob fondly reminisced about his travels overseas. Rob had the opportunity to work on projects in Canada, USA, Germany, Japan, and China as well as President and founder of Ainsworth Industrial Coatings from 1987-1994.

Rob will be deeply missed by Madeleine, Kelsey, Adam and Elizabeth Cadorette, and Lindsay and Chris Campbell.

Rob was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Wilhelmina, and survived by brother John and family, and multiple cousins. His chosen final resting place is at the family plot in Beaverton, ON.

A family service will be held September 13th, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Old Stone Church Cemetery, 1530 Regional Road 15, Beaverton.
