In Loving Memory of Thomas Victor Jarvis.

January 17, 1944 – May 10, 2026

Thomas “Tom” Victor Jarvis passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Cambridge, Ontario at the age of 82. Born on January 17, 1944, in Toronto to Edith and Victor Jarvis, Tom spent most of his life in the Cambridge community he quietly called home.

Tom worked for many years in the dark room at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Being fully blind, he found a unique fit in this role; a place where touch, routine, and precision mattered more than sight.

In 1979, Tom married Yvonne Jarvis. Though they later separated, their friendship continued for many years.

Tom lived a private life and had no surviving family, but he carried with him small joys that shaped his earlier years: the energy of live music, the comfort of a good cigar, and the thrill of loud, powerful cars.

Cremation has taken place, and in keeping with Tom’s quiet nature, there will be no memorial service.
